Super Smack is a Filipino-American rap musician who fuses clever lyrics with high-energy dance bops. Born in Phoenix and based in New York City, Smack started his solo rap career in 2018 after leaving his job at the Department of Justice and his previous career as a musical theater actor. He quickly emerged as one of the breakout artists of the nerdcore hip-hop/geek-pop scene, highlighted by his Nintendo-inspired breakout EP "Neon Red". He has performed at Nerdcore Dayz during SXSW, opened for Mega Ran at Brooklyn Comic-Con and co-headlined the 16-city “The Crazy Switch Asians Tour” with LEX The Lexicon Artist. He's collaborated with Daveed Diggs, Rafael Casal, and Robin de Jesus, and been featured in Broadway World and the Asian American International Film Festival. He has been an outspoken voice in the #StopAsianHate movement, bridging understanding across the Asian American, Broadway, gamer, and music communities.
